Ripstop fabrics are woven fabrics, often made of nylon, using a reinforcing technique that makes them more resistant to tearing and ripping. During weaving, stronger (and often thicker) reinforcement yarns are interwoven at regular intervals in a crosshatch pattern.

Benefits

Ripstop is tough, durable and is ideal for use in heavy-duty applications such as vehicle covers, tents, also heavy-duty camping tents, bags, luggage and outdoor curtains, industrial tarpaulins.

NB: It’s UV stabilized feature makes it a perfect fabric of choice for use on products like tents and covers for exterior aesthetics.  Although it is labelled heavy-duty the fabric is lightweight but strong.
