INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF POLYCARBONATE SHEETS.
- Keep the protective film on the PC hollow sheet surface throughout the installation process or during the frame surface coating, remove only when the installation has been completed. Installation is easy since polycarbonate sheets can be cold bent.
- Ensure you fit the sheets with U.V coated surface facing the sun.
- Clean the dust and grease on the surface with neutral cleanse or soft cloth or sponge. Don’t use any solvents.
- You require a relatively light structure since polycarbonate sheets are not heavy.
- High speed circular saw with multi tooth blades are suitable for cutting polycarbonate sheets.
- Silicone sealant may be used for wall/polycarbonate joints as well as when gap filling is required. Drill only when unavoidable.
- Avoid walking on the sheets. If necessary do sousing a smooth wooden beam fixed to the frame.
- Ensure top hat section and end cap are fitted snugly with a polycarbonate sheet to avoid water ingress.
